Following the scheme’s disclosure, subscribers compared the practice to a grocery store selling loaves of bread for different prices based solely on customers’ shopping habits.
“Unisom’s dangerously false advertising preys on vulnerable people desperate for healthy sleep, hooking millions to guarantee its ongoing revenue stream,” Yana Hart of Clarkson Law Firm, representing Amaral, said in a statement Monday. “Deception about something as fundamental as safe sleep is a serious public health issue that demands judicial intervention.”
The lawsuit was filed over claims that Apple misled customers regarding Siri’s AI features.
