Shireen is a partner and co-founder of Clarkson. She has over 20 years of experience as a civil litigator, having spent the majority of her career prosecuting consumer class actions and other multi-party litigations involving false advertising and labeling, unfair business practices, dangerous pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, and defective products.
Her practice is focused on changing the unlawful conduct of some of the largest U.S. and global corporations throughout a variety of industries, including most notably, Big Food and Big Pharma within the United States. Shireen has earned numerous recognitions as lead counsel in various certified class action cases and other multi-party matters resulting in millions of dollars for consumers seeking redress, as well as policy changes that better serve the public.
Shireen has been an honorary board member of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities and strongly believes in giving back to one’s community. She is engaged in volunteer efforts aimed at assisting under-privileged, under-served individuals and communities, and is also involved in local community efforts for children’s education in Malibu where she resides. Shireen spends much of her free time with her husband, their young daughter, and two dogs, Rapunzel and Jasmin.

Lead class counsel in a California certified class action lawsuit against the world’s second largest food and beverage company for false advertising and mislabeling of food product as “natural.”
California class action lawsuit against a well-known celebrity manufacturer of hair products for defective product design and manufacture, false advertising, and unfair business practices.
Co-lead counsel in a California certified class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers against a major broadcast satellite provider for unlawful termination fees.
Co-lead counsel in California certified class action lawsuit against major pharmaceutical manufacturer for false advertising of the anti-depressant, Paxil.
Co-lead counsel in California certified class action lawsuit battling Labor Code violations against employer.
Mesh/Sling Implant Multi-District Litigation – represented hundreds of women who underwent the vaginal mesh and/or sling implant surgery and experienced complications and injuries as a result.
In re: Actos Multi-District Litigation – involved in representing hundreds of patients throughout the country who were injured by use of the Actos medication, including those diagnosed with bladder cancer and severe cardiac events.
In re: Pradaxa Multi-District Litigation – litigated on behalf of hundreds of patients who experienced major internal bleeding events through use of the drug, Pradaxa.
In re: Nuvaring Multi-District Litigation – represented hundreds of clients throughout the country who were implanted with the popular birth control device, Nuvaring, and experienced blood clots, heart attacks and strokes as a result.
In Re: Oral Phenylephrine Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation – serving on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the multi-district litigation against over a dozen drug manufacturers for the false advertising and sale of over-the-counter decongestants
