Janet J. Hur is a senior associate attorney at Clarkson, where she represents employees in complex wage-and-hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation. She brings a strategic perspective shaped by years of defending employers in high-stakes employment litigation, giving her unique insight into how companies evaluate risk, develop litigation strategy, and defend workplace claims.

Before joining Clarkson, Janet represented employers, corporations, and public entities in complex employment and civil litigation. Her practice included wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and wrongful termination claims, as well as products liability and other complex civil matters. She has extensive experience managing cases through every stage of litigation, including dispositive motion practice, depositions, mediation, trial preparation, and second-chair jury trials.

At Clarkson, Janet uses that experience to advocate for employees seeking fair pay and accountability under California’s workplace laws. She approaches every case with meticulous preparation, practical judgment, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results for her clients. Whether representing an individual employee or a class of workers, Janet focuses on developing thoughtful litigation strategies that position her clients for success.

Janet earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and is admitted to practice in California. She is fluent in Korean, allowing her to effectively represent Korean-speaking clients and broaden access to legal representation for diverse communities.
