Partner

New York, NY

Darren is a partner at Clarkson, where he leads the New York team. Darren brings over two decades of experience in plaintiffs’ class actions, mass torts, and representative litigation to the firm. His experience, insights, creative legal thinking, and skill at managing large attorney teams, have made him one of the leading consumer class action and mass tort attorneys in the country and one of the first calls for other law firms that find themselves outmatched by corporate defendants with seemingly limitless resources. As part of the firm’s growth, Darren also works alongside Clarkson’s TogetherOn.AI initiative, representing consumers harmed by the rapid and often reckless deployment of artificial intelligence across healthcare, technology, and other industries.

In 2017, Darren led a team of lawyers who argued for federal appellate jurisdiction over voluntary dismissals of class actions following denial of class certification in the Supreme Court of the United States in Microsoft Corporation v. Baker, 15-457.

Darren is a New York Metro Super Lawyer® and is AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated. In 2019, Darren was first selected as one of the “Top 100” trial lawyers in America by the National Trial Lawyers and has been selected every following year.

A frequent speaker, Darren was recently a guest lecturer on plaintiffs’ consumer cases at Yale Law School.

Darren is also a volunteer attorney for the New York Democratic Lawyers Council, where he focuses on voting rights and New York Election Law.
